The legendary MMA fighter Conor McGregor has provided an update on his recovery following a broken toe. According to the former Irish champion, he has begun stem cell treatment.

"Right now, they are injecting stem cells into my foot. They took them from my back and placed them in my foot. 20 mg of stem cells from my own back, from the bone marrow – directly into the fracture," Conor said on SevereMMA's YouTube channel.

Previously, McGregor commented on the cancellation of his fight with Michael Chandler, which was scheduled for June. The fight was called off due to the Irishman's injury.

The 35-year-old McGregor has not fought since July 2021, when he broke his leg during his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier.

Recently, the legendary UFC fighter became a co-owner of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), which is dubbed "the fastest-growing sports company in the world."
