The relationship between Ousmane Dembélé and Luis Enrique appears to have hit its first major crisis.

Details: According to After RMC, tensions are growing between the PSG forward and the coaching staff. The week away from training officially presented as a period of rest is reportedly being viewed internally as a disciplinary measure. The situation follows Dembélé's frustration over the UEFA Super Cup match against Aston Villa: the Frenchman was desperate to start and had even trained individually during his holiday to make sure he returned in peak condition, but Luis Enrique ultimately left him out of the starting lineup.

The decision did not go down well with Dembélé and could represent the first serious breakdown in his relationship with Luis Enrique. Against that backdrop, even a summer departure from Paris can no longer be completely ruled out.

At the same time, the situation has not yet reached the point of no return. Reports indicate that Dembélé and PSG remain in talks over a new contract despite the current disagreement. It is worth noting that the 29-year-old joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023, while his existing deal runs until June 2028. Transfermarkt currently values the French forward at €100 million.
