Luis de la Fuente will remain in the position of head coach of the Spanish national team longer.

The local football federation agreed to activate the extension clause included in the contract of the specialist, and now the labour agreement will last until 2026.

However, the statement of the Spanish Federation does not indicate whether de la Fuente will work at the end of the World Cup in North America.

The 62-year-old specialist took over the reins of Furia Roja in December 2022. During that time, the Spanish national team won the Nations League and also reached the European Championship from the first place.
