Confirmed. Ruben Amorim – a Manchester United head coach
Just days after Erik ten Hag was dismissed as Manchester United’s head coach, the club has chosen his replacement. Portuguese coach Rúben Amorim has taken on the role at Old Trafford.
Details: He has signed a contract with the Red Devils until the summer of 2027 with an option to extend for another year. The agreement will come into force on 11 November. While his salary at Old Trafford has not been disclosed, the transfer reportedly cost Manchester United around ten million euros.
Amorim’s debut match as the head of the Manchester club will be on November 24 against Ipswich.
Reminder: Ten Hag was dismissed following a 2-1 defeat to West Ham, leaving the team in 14th place in the Premier League. Following his departure, Ruud van Nistelrooy temporarily managed Manchester United’s players.
