Confirmed. Glasner became the head coach of Crystal Palace
49-year-old Austrian specialist Oliver Glasner became the head coach of Crystal Palace.
According to the press service of the London club, Glasner signed a contract with the club until the end of the season 2025/2026. It is reported that the Austrian's coaching staff at Crystal Palace will be announced later.
Glasner's last club was Eintracht Frankfurt, with whom the Austrian won his first major trophy - the UEFA Europa League in the 2021/2022 season. In the last Champions League campaign, the mentor's team reached the 1/8 finals, where on aggregate of two matches lost to Napoli with a score of 0:5.
In addition to Eintracht, Glasner's track record also includes work with Wolfsburg, as well as clubs in his homeland - Reid and LASK. Glasner was Roger Schmidt's assistant at RB Salzburg from 2012-2014.
Glasner's position at Crystal Palace succeeds Roy Hodgson, whose resignation was announced on 19 February.
