CONFIDENT!! Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Thabo Cele confident they can cause an upse against Mamelodi Sundowns this evening in a PSL game

Thabo Cele reckons Kaizer Chiefs may spoil Mamelodi Sundowns expectations of of winning the Betway Premierhsip title this season.

The Amakhosi midfielder admitted Sundowns would win it but warned that they should not earn points at their expense.

Chiefs travel to Loftus Versveld this evening for PSL match against the current league defending champions who are on top of the standings.

A win against Chiefs would cement Sundowns' hopes as it would take them to 67 points which would be five more than second placed Orlando Pirates.

“Of course, if you look at the recent history, they have been a team that’s been dominating the league in terms of winning trophies and especially the league,” said Cele to the Chiefs website.

“So, they’re going to want to come out with guns blazing because now they have someone who’s competing with them, which is our rival Orlando Pirates and us also, considering our recent history becoming closer and closer, step by step.

“So, things are interesting for South African football at this moment. And of course, I think they’re going to want to clinch this title again.

“But we might as well maybe spoil the party for them, you know I mean, trying to pick up ourselves, because we’re also in our journey. So it’s games you want to win."

The match starts at 7.30pm.
