The disastrous record of the French coach at Celtic left the club’s management with no choice but to terminate the cooperation.
Details: Today, an announcement appeared on the official X page of Scottish side Celtic, stating that 48-year-old French manager Wilfried Nancy has been dismissed from his position as the team's head coach.

Nancy managed only 8 matches at the helm of the Hoops, but astonishingly lost 6 of them. He was appointed as Celtic’s head coach at the start of December 2025 and, just a month later, is leaving his post. Nancy's assistants, Kwame Ampadu, Jules Guéguen, and Maxime Chalier, are also departing the club.
Nancy secured just 2 wins with Celtic in those 8 matches—clearly not enough to keep his place in the dugout.
Before his appointment at Celtic, Nancy was in charge of the American club Columbus.
