Real Madrid is already shaping its squad for the upcoming season, and it seems the first move in the transfer market has been set. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Nico Paz will return to the Los Blancos camp and become the club’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
The source reports that the Madrid club intends to activate the buy-back clause, set at €9 million. Real Madrid’s management sees the Argentine as a crucial part of the team’s future and has no plans to sell him on.
For reference, the attacking midfielder is a product of Madrid’s youth system. In the summer of 2024, Real Madrid decided to sell him to Como for €6 million, not wanting to hinder the player’s development and giving him a chance for regular playing time.
According to Transfermarkt, the 21-year-old’s market value has already soared to €65 million. However, the Italian club won’t be able to cash in on such a sum if they sell him, as Real Madrid retains control over the player’s future.
