Colombia finds Yamal lookalike: young butcher goes viral for resembling Barcelona star
A young man bearing a striking resemblance to Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has been discovered in Colombia. The man works as a butcher in the municipality of Curumaní, located in the Cesar Department, and rose to fame thanks to a spontaneous video posted on social media.
The creator of the clip noticed the butcher's resemblance to the Spanish footballer and decided to give him a humorous interview. The man was asked about a recent match while being teased that Yamal had supposedly lost El Clásico, left Barcelona and gone to Colombia to sell meat.
The young man smiled shyly and carried on with his work as the cameraman continued to crack jokes. The video quickly spread across social media. Some users even suggested that the image had been generated by artificial intelligence, but the clip turned out to be genuine.
Commenters could not resist joining in with the humor. Some suggested inviting the Colombian to a Barcelona match, while others advised Yamal to hire him as a lookalike for public appearances.
The post drew a huge number of reactions, and users even began tagging the footballer in the comments in the hope that he would notice his unexpected double.
