Colombe Sportive arrives in Mali for its return leg against Stade Malien in the CAF Champions League
Following last weekend’s 0–0 draw in Yaoundé, the two sides will meet again on Sunday in Bamako for the second leg of the first qualifying round of Africa’s most prestigious club competition.
Ahead of this clash, the Colombe Sportive delegation left Cameroon on Thursday and arrived in Mali. The Bird of the South will therefore fine-tune its strategy in Bamako ahead of this decisive match on Sunday 13 September.
Whilst Colombe Sportive and Stade Malien played out a goalless draw in the first leg in Cameroon, the two sides are set for a fierce battle in this return fixture. With qualification at stake, the Cameroonians and the Malians will do their utmost to emerge victorious from this clash.
The winner of Sunday’s match in Bamako will secure their place in the second preliminary round of the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League. The slightest slip-up could therefore prove fatal.
