Collins Fai Poised to Join Chinese Super League Club

Collins Fai, a Cameroonian international, is expected to join the Chinese Super League and start a new chapter in his career. After leaving Serbia's Radnički Niš in July 2024, the 32-year-old right-back has been without a club. According to reports, he is nearing a one-season contract with Meizhou Hakka.

Collins offered his acceptance when Meizhou Hakka maintained its spot in the Super League after Cangzhou's administrative demotion, despite his initial hesitancy because of the club's fears of relegation.

The defender, who was born in Bamenda and is worth €450,000 according to Transfermarkt, has played for well-known teams like Standard Liège and Dinamo Bucharest in the past. Moving to China gives him a chance to restart his career after not playing for seven months and to be part of a football scene that is getting bigger.

Collins is expected to join his new team shortly after completing the transfer, hoping to have an impact on the 2025 campaign.
