Cold shower in Italy! Manchester United concede in the 2nd minute against Como
Manchester United's Champions League trip to Italy could hardly have started worse, as the Red Devils found themselves trailing Como after just two minutes of play.
Details: Right after kick-off at the rain-soaked Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, Diogo Dalot squandered a promising shooting opportunity at the other end, and Cesc Fàbregas's side immediately punished the English visitors on the counterattack. Argentine attacking midfielder Nico Paz squared up Harry Maguire, shifted the ball onto his left foot, and curled a clinical strike into the far corner from the edge of the penalty area to make it 1-0 in the 2nd minute.
This early setback puts even more pressure on Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick, whose team arrived in northern Italy on the back of a six-match winless streak across all competitions.
It is worth noting that Transfermarkt currently estimates Nico Paz's market value at €80 million, while Manchester United's overall squad is valued at €928.80 million compared to Como's €568.15 million.
