Closing in on 1,000! Ronaldo bags a brace against Al-Najma

Al-Nassr hosted Al-Najma in a Matchday 27 clash in the Saudi Pro League, and it was the legendary forward who stole the spotlight.

Details: Cristiano Ronaldo struck twice in the game. He first converted from the penalty spot in the 56th minute, before adding another goal just minutes later to put the result beyond doubt.

That brace takes Ronaldo to 967 career goals, leaving him just 33 short of the remarkable 1,000-goal milestone.

The Portuguese forward missed the team’s previous two matches, as well as two international fixtures as part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

Reminder: Sadio Mané did not join the Senegal national team during the March international break due to injury. However, the Senegalese forward has recovered and will be available to face Al-Najma.
