Chukwueze Ruled Out of Roma Clash – Injury Blow or Tactical Footnote?

Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze is expected to miss AC Milan’s crucial Serie A clash against AS Roma on Sunday due to a groin-related fitness issue.
Chukwueze Injured, Misses Key Fixture
The 25-year-old Nigerian has been ruled out after suffering pubic bone inflammation, as reported by SOS Fanta and Sky Sport Italia. The injury requires delicate treatment, and Chukwueze will not travel with the squad to Rome.
This comes at a decisive time, with both Roma (6th, 63 points) and AC Milan (8th, 60 points) battling for a European qualification spot. A defeat for either could severely hurt their continental ambitions.
Peripheral Role Under Conceição
Since Sergio Conceição took over at the Rossoneri, Chukwueze has found himself on the fringes of the squad.
Despite registering his first assist of the season against Bologna recently, he played only eight minutes in the next match. His limited role under the new manager suggests his absence may not drastically impact Milan’s plans.
Other Injury Concerns for Milan
AC Milan will also be without Kyle Walker (flu), and Theo Hernandez remains a doubt. Luka Jovic is expected to lead the line, with Santiago Gimenez likely starting on the bench.
Kick-off is set for Sunday, 19:45 UK time at Stadio Olimpico.
