Chippa United coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi touts his goalkeeper Dumisani Msibi as a possible World Cup cover for Bafana Bafana's Ronwen Williams
Dumisani Msibi may see himself in the Bafana Bafana World Cup squad in June.
The Chippa United goalkeeper has been impressive for the Chilli Boys that his coach, Vusumuzi Vilakazi, revealed the goalminder is on the radar of the national selectors.
“They are looking at him, the people from the national team are looking at him. They are asking questions about him,” Vilakazi told the media.
“He just needs to improve his game and hopefully he sneaks in that World Cup squad, the sky is the limit for him.”
His impeccable start to life in the Betway Premiership at Chippa is due to the fact that Nigerian and experienced goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali recently left the Eastern Cape-based side.
Msibi previous played for the now defunct SuperSport United having had previous stints in various National First Division sides.
Chippa are back in PSL action on Saturday away to Golden Arrows as they continue to consolidate their stay in the elite division.
