Chiesa could make his debut in Liverpool's main squad for the game against West Ham

Liverpool's star newcomer Federico Chiesa is not yet a favourite of Arne Slot, but the Dutchman assures that the Italian will get his first place in the starting line-up for the EFL Cup match against West Ham.

However, Slot warns the winger's fans that he may not be ready to play the full 90 minutes as Chiesa's missed pre-season training at Juventus is making itself felt, so he needs more time to get fit:

‘I don't think he is capable of playing 90 minutes. In the last three or four or five months he has only played 25 minutes, no more. He also hasn't played in friendly matches for Juventus. But, in our opinion, he can come into the starting line-up,’ Slot said in a conversation with the press.

We will remind, earlier Liverpool head coach said that he is satisfied with the busy calendar, as the large squad allows for frequent rotation of players.
