Chicago Fire's South African midfielder on his move and Bafana Bafana aims: I think I made a step forward in my career by moving to the USA
Dithejane said he hopes to make the Bafana Bafana World Cup squad this year
Puso Dithejane sees his move from TS Galaxy to Chicago Fire as a step in the right direction for his career.
Dithejane made his MLS debut last weekend when his team lost 2-1 to Dynamo Houston replacing his compatriot in the Chicago Fire team, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, late in the game.
This move to the USA is one also seen as a reward for Dithejane as he has been impressive for Galaxy in the PSL prior to the MLS deal.
“This is a step forward in my career as a footballer,” said Dithejane during the Football Journalist Association (SAFJA).
“I obviously will work hard where I am in Chicago so I can be selected to be part of the 23-man squad that will play for South Africa.
“I want to help my country or my team do well in the World Cup.”
