Chelsea wants to reward their top scorer, Cole Palmer, with a new contract on improved terms.

According to The Telegraph, the London club aims to significantly increase the player's salary, which currently stands at around £80,000 per week.

Having moved to Chelsea from Manchester City for £40 million, Palmer has been the team's standout performer this season. He has scored 18 goals in the league and provided 12 assists in 38 matches across all competitions.

It's worth noting that the 21-year-old footballer signed a seven-year contract with the Pensioners, with the option to extend for another 12 months.

The Blues are having a disappointing season, currently occupying the 11th place in the Premier League table after 28 matches played. On April 4th, the London team will face Manchester United.

Earlier, we reported that Chelsea's co-owner had announced the final position regarding the future head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
