Niko Williams, the leader of Athletic Bilbao and the Spanish national team, has drawn attention from several top clubs, including Chelsea.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea remains very interested in acquiring the player, having already considered him last summer, but the current asking price is deemed too high.

The release clause stands at over €58 million plus taxes, along with substantial upfront payments and requested wages, which Chelsea finds prohibitive.

Earlier, the Spanish winger sharply responded to his transfer rumors.

Niko Williams was recognized as the best player in the match between the Spanish national team and Italy. He played an incredible role for his team and helped La Furia Roja secure an early spot in the Euro 2024 playoffs.

He has also been a crucial player for Athletic Bilbao throughout the season. With his contributions, the Basque club finished fifth in La Liga, secured a place in the Europa League, and won the Copa del Rey.
