Chelsea set to bring back Antonio Rüdiger as early as January
The London club has shown interest in re-signing the German defender and has already made an official opening bid for the player.
Details: Chelsea are the main contenders for Real Madrid centre-back Antonio Rüdiger. The English club has been in talks with both the player and Real for several weeks now. Their initial offer stands at around €8 million, but Real Madrid deemed it too low and is hoping to negotiate better terms.

Antonio Rüdiger's situation at Real Madrid has changed dramatically in recent months. Once an undisputed starter at centre-back, he has lost substantial playing time following the arrival of Xabi Alonso. Physical issues at the start of the season made things worse, and Real's management is well aware that the player's contract expires at the end of the campaign. The club is now considering a January sale to at least partially offset his departure.
This season, the German defender has made just one appearance — back at the start of the campaign against Real Oviedo.
Reminder: Barcelona midfielder Pedri will recover from injury in time for the Champions League clash against Chelsea.
