Chelsea were searching for a new centre-back during the winter transfer window, and on the final day they decided to bring back one of their own players.
Details: Chelsea have officially announced the return of Mamadou Sarr from French side Strasbourg.
Quote: “The 20-year-old signed for the Blues in June and made his debut against ES Tunis during our triumphant Club World Cup campaign. In August, he rejoined Strasbourg on loan, making 18 appearances for the French club across Ligue 1 and the Europa Conference League,” the Chelsea statement said.
Meanwhile, Italian side Milan have decided not to pursue a move for Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi and will not continue negotiations over his transfer. It was previously reported that the Rossoneri had contacted the London club regarding the 27-year-old French defender.
Reminder: Chelsea and Strasbourg have fully agreed the terms of a loan deal for 20-year-old Aaron Anselmino until the end of the current season.
