Chelsea midfielder has found himself in another scandal
Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández has found himself embroiled in yet another scandal. Previously seen in a video featuring a racist song about the French national team, he is now involved in a situation concerning the United Kingdom.
According to BBC, Fernández has been found guilty of failing to provide information about the driver of his Porsche, who allegedly ran a red light in the Welsh town of Llanelli.
The court issued this verdict in absentia, as the player was not present at the hearing. The final judgment will be announced on September 11. The judges are currently considering the possibility of not revoking Fernández's driving license, taking into account potential mitigating circumstances.
Initially, the 23-year-old player also faced charges for running a red light and driving without insurance, but these charges have been dropped.
It should be noted that France has appealed to FIFA to address this issue. According to the French Football Federation, FIFA has now initiated an investigation into the situation.
Additionally, this situation has affected Chelsea. The club has begun an internal investigation as one of the participants, midfielder Enzo Fernández, is implicated in the scandal.
