"Chelsea is not a team". The Italian coach stood up for Mudryk
Shakhtar Donetsk coach Carlo Nicolini considers criticism of Ukrainian Chelsea winger Mikhail Mudryk unfair.
He noted that after moving to Chelsea, the Ukrainian footballer encountered an unsuitable environment and team, which only prevented him from expressing himself on the field.
However, the coach believes in Mudryk's potential and is confident that with the right support and confidence from the coach, he will be able to demonstrate his best qualities.
Nicolini added that Mudryk is a strong player and hopes for his successful performance in the future.
“He moved to Chelsea, and now you can’t call it a team. You can see the real Mudryk in the national team, and he is capable of doing even more. He is a really strong player,” he said in a comment to Sportskeeda.
The Ukrainian was bought by Chelsea for 70+30 million euros from Shakhtar Donetsk last winter. At the moment, the Ukrainian has scored 2 goals and made 2 assists in 28 matches for the London club.
We wrote earlier that Mudryk received praise from the Chelsea coach.
