Chelsea is interested in one of the top scorers of the Euro
Chelsea is seeking to bolster their squad for the next season, with one of the options being RB Leipzig and Spain midfielder Dani Olmo.
According to the Evening Standard, the Blues are ready to activate the player's release clause, which stands at £50 million. Other transfer targets mentioned include Adeyemi and Francisco Conceição. However, The Athletic notes that Chelsea is not able to pay the full release clause amount upfront, as stipulated in Olmo's contract.
If the Blues pursue Olmo, they will try to negotiate a structured deal with multiple payments, ultimately resulting in a total sum, including potential bonuses, that exceeds the amount in Olmo's contract.
Incidentally, Dani Olmo is currently one of the top scorers of the Euro, with three goals and two assists to his name.
Additionally, Chelsea has agreed to the transfer of 19-year-old left-back Caleb Wiley from Atlanta United for a fee of €10 million.
