Chelsea head coach talks about the staffing situation at the club

Chelsea's head coach Mauricio Pochettino provided an update on the squad situation ahead of the Premier League match against Crystal Palace.

According to the coach, Enzo Fernandez will definitely miss the match, but there is hope that Moises Caicedo will be able to participate. Pochettino mentioned that Caicedo had a fever, and he was isolated during this period. They are now hopeful that he can undergo a short training session and play against Crystal Palace.

"We need to assess the condition of Lesley (Ugbohukwu). It seems he felt discomfort in the Achilles tendon in the match against Wolves. We need to be cautious with players returning from injury, but Moises' issue made it a complex situation," added Mauricio Pochettino.

The Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace match is scheduled for Wednesday, December 27, starting at 20:30 Central European Time.

It's worth noting that Chelsea set a new unwanted record, losing 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League. This defeat marked their 19th in the Premier League in 2023. No other team has lost more matches in the Premier League this year.
