Chelsea lost their most recent match to Fulham 1–2, and that was not the only problem to emerge from the game. Marc Cucurella was shown a red card. In recent seasons, the London club have consistently suffered in this area.
Details: As reported by BBC Sport, since the start of the 2023/24 season Chelsea have collected 251 yellow cards and 12 red cards. This is the highest total among all Premier League teams over that period.
Notably, this season Chelsea have already received five red cards in the Premier League. Only once in the club’s history have Chelsea picked up more red cards in a single season — six in the 2007–08 campaign.
Reminder: At the beginning of 2026, Chelsea changed their head coach, with the club now led by 41-year-old Liam Rosenior, who has shared his expectations and ideas regarding the role.
