Chelsea have finalised which coach will replace Pochettino

The search for Chelsea's new head coach has concluded. According to Fabrizio Romano, the London club has agreed to terms on a three-year contract with Leicester City's manager, Enzo Maresca.

The Italian coach has already informed Leicester's management of his desire to move to Chelsea. It is known that the buyout clause in his contract is £8 million, and Chelsea is prepared to pay this amount.

It is expected that Chelsea will officially announce Maresca's appointment by the end of the current week.

As a reminder, Chelsea unexpectedly sacked Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the season, despite a strong finish that saw the team secure sixth place in the Premier League.

In the 2022/23 season, Maresca served as Pep Guardiola's assistant at Manchester City before becoming the head coach of Leicester, with whom he won the Championship.
