Championship club opens talks with Frank Lampard
Premier League legend Frank Lampard, whose coaching career has yet to flourish, now has a new opportunity to prove himself in the Championship.
Details: According to Nicolo Schira, Coventry City has entered negotiations with Lampard, offering the former midfielder a contract until the end of the season, with an option to extend for another year.
Lampard is being considered as a replacement for Mark Robins, who was dismissed by Coventry following a 1-2 loss to Derby County. Robins had managed Coventry since 2017.
During his managerial career, Lampard has held positions with Derby County, Everton, and Chelsea, with his most notable success coming at Derby.
After 15 matches, Coventry is positioned 17th in the Championship with 16 points.
Reminder: Over the summer, Lampard was among the candidates for the Canadian national team head coach position.
