Cedric Kaze pleased with Lebohang Maboe's technical qualities and the experience he brings to Kaizer Chiefs
Cedric Kaze is falling in love with Lebohang Maboe’s style of play and statue as a footballer.
The Burundian-born coach believes Kaizer Chiefs have a player in Maboe who signed in the off-season having left the now defunct SuperSport United.
Maboe’s arrival at Naturena was motivated by his continental at former club – Mamelodi Sundowns – which would come in handy for Chiefs as they are in this season’s Caf Confederation Cup.
He did look the part of Saturday in their 1-1 draw against Egyptian giants Zamalek.
“I believe that the whole team played well; they helped each other,” said Kaze.
“We know Maboe’s technical qualities. He’s a player who drives you forward. He’s a player who can find players in very tight spaces.
“I feel he had a very good game. He’s a player who also drives the other players. You need a player that can level up the technical quality of the team.”
