Carragher names the player who could win the PL for Liverpool. It’s not one of Slot’s men
In recent seasons, Liverpool hasn’t been a clear contender in the Premier League title race, leaving Manchester City and Arsenal to battle it out. However, club legend Jamie Carragher believes there’s a specific player who could turn Arne Slot's side into title winners once again.
Details: In his column for The Telegraph, Carragher identified Chelsea’s Cole Palmer as the player who could make the difference for Liverpool. Palmer’s influence has already shifted Carragher’s opinion on Chelsea’s place in the league standings, and if he were to join Liverpool, Carragher believes the Reds would have all the tools to win the Premier League.
Quote: "At the start of the season, I didn’t see Chelsea finishing in the top four because there was no team spirit or connection with the fans. Palmer is the main reason my view has changed. Now they can do it, and given the scale of their investments, that’s where they should be.
If Palmer were at Liverpool, Slot would have a much greater chance of ending his debut season with a league title. Palmer is that good — right now, his goals-per-game average is higher than legends like Didier Drogba and Diego Costa."
