The squad features some notable returns and some notable absences.
Baba Abdul Rahman, Ernest Nuamah, Abdul Mumin, Augustine Boakye and Alidu Seidu have returned to the squad after long absences for various reasons. However, Mohammed Kudus, Andre Ayew, Joseph Paintsil, Mohammed Salisu, Tariq Lamptey, Salis Abdul Samed and Majeed Ashimeru have not been called up.
In total, five goalkeepers, nine defenders, seven midfielders and seven forwards have been called up. The Ghana national team is currently in camp in Cardiff, where the Black Stars will play an international friendly against Wales.
