Carlo Ancelotti spoke about Kroos's future in the team and his return to the national team

The contract of German midfielder Toni Kroos with Real Madrid expires at the end of the current season, and as of now, no information regarding its extension has surfaced. Additionally, this week, the player declared his intention to return to the national team ahead of the 2024 UEFA European Championship.

Prior to Real Madrid's match against Sevilla, scheduled for tomorrow, head coach Carlo Ancelotti shared his thoughts on Kroos's future with the team. Regarding the midfielder's return to the national team, he stated that it will not affect his role within the team.

"He informed me of his decision to return to the national team. This will not impact his position within the team. His level of performance remains exceptionally high."

Regarding Kroos's future with the team, Ancelotti mentioned that he will not pressure the player and will leave all decisions in the hands of the German.

"Will I ask him to extend his contract? I have no intention of advising him on what to do. He is not my son. He possesses the mental capacity to make his own choices.

I believe he is a highly responsible individual with a clear mind. You yourself will know when the day comes that your level has declined. In this sense, he has believed that it will continue this way."

Within the club, there is hope that Kroos will extend his contract, especially considering his performances in the current season; however, nothing has been decided yet.
