Cardoso dedicates Mamelodi Sundowns' Champions League semifinal berth to fans

After a hard-fought 1-0 home victory, Mamelodi Sundowns endured a return leg against Esperance, securing a 0-0 draw in Tunisia that propelled the team to the Champions League semifinals. The head coach of the South African team, Miguel Cardoso, couldn't hide his emotions.

Details: The Portuguese expert emphasized that he hoped for a goal, but this result is also good as they managed to keep a clean sheet. Cardoso dedicated the semifinal advancement to the fans.

Quote: "I think we approached the game tactically right to control the attacking potential at the same time. We must always hope for the chance to score a goal. That didn't happen, we didn't score, but we were strong enough not to suffer, we were strong enough to always play according to what the game demanded of us.

I also want to dedicate this victory to the Mamelodi Sundowns fans in South Africa, who bring us joy every day, and to the Motsepe family, because they believed in us. They believed in the players, in the material. Now let's prepare for the future," Cardoso stated.

Reminder: It was previously reported that Mamelodi Sundowns set a condition for their veteran Themba Zwane to extend his contract.
