Cape Town City's PSL promotional aspirations dashed by Magesi FC draw who still have a chance for survival

Cape Town City will remain in the Motsepe Foundation Championship next season.

The side from Mother City could not capitalise on the lifeline they received from the PSL Promotion/relegation Play-Off where they could only collect four points in six games.

City only won one game against Milford FC on Saturday was their only win in the four matches they played.

Today they shared the spoils with Magesi FC today and it was their last game to salvage a chance to gain promotion to the Betway Premiership.

Therlo Moosa scored their goal while Mcedi Vandala equalised for Magesi FC.

Now the chance lies with Milford FC and Magesi FC who face each other on Saturday, with Milford FC Stallions on top with six points while Dikwena tsaa Meetsi have four.

Magesi FC are looking at salvaging their PSL status while Milford are looking for promotion.

It is a sad day for the Cape club as they have been looking to return to the Betway Premiership from the start of the season with big names signings.

Perhaps, they can still try next season.
