Rafa Benítez has declared that he is open to returning to Italian football and does not rule out the possibility of working either with Serie A clubs or with the Italy national team.
The Spanish coach, who previously managed Inter and Napoli, noted that he is currently awaiting a new project after finishing his stint in Greece and is considering various options for the next step in his career.
I have finished my work in Greece, so I am waiting for new opportunities. The dream of becoming the national team coach is very tempting. Would I like that? Yes, said Benítez.
It’s worth recalling that throughout his career, the 66-year-old specialist has led many clubs, including Valencia, Inter, Chelsea, Napoli, Real Madrid, Newcastle, Everton and others. Notably, as Liverpool manager, Benítez triumphed in the Champions League in the iconic 2005 final.
