Cameroon lose to Australia in the FIFA Series
Although Devis Epassy saved a penalty, the Indomitable Lions ended up losing in the dying moments of the match.
The Indomitable Lions have started the 2026 FIFA Series with a defeat. Facing Australia on Friday 27 March in the opening match of this international friendly tournament, David Pagou’s side could not hold on until the end. The first half ended goalless between the Indomitable Lions and the Socceroos at the Accor Stadium.
But the Cameroonians ran into some difficulties in the second half. Kamdem conceded a penalty, which was saved by Devis Epassy, allowing the Cameroonian side to stay level. But Australia had not had their final say. Jordan Bos found the net in the 85th minute, making it 1-0 to secure victory for the Socceroos. Cameroon’s next match will be against China on 31 March.
