The recent Nottingham Forest match against Leicester sent shockwaves through the public, as the team's forward Taiwo Awoniyi suffered an abdominal injury. As a result of the injury, he was placed in an induced coma, and now head coach of the "Tricky Trees" Nuno Espírito Santo has shared an update on his current condition.

Details: Nottingham Forest's head coach stated that the striker is now doing well. He has already been brought out of the coma, is conscious, but will still need to spend a few more days in the hospital.

Quote: "He underwent surgery, and thankfully, everything went well. He is currently under observation but is on the road to recovery. We’re still waiting for the doctors to give us permission to visit him.

According to the information we have, he needs to remain under observation for at least five days to ensure everything goes smoothly. I’ll try to visit him as soon as possible. He’s in good hands, and his family is by his side—which is exactly what he needs right now: his family’s support," Santo said.
