CAF U20 AFCON Draw on February 13: 13 Teams Battle for Glory and World Cup Spots

The TotalEnergies CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Cote d’Ivoire 2025 Final Draw is scheduled for Thursday, February 13 at 2:25 p.m. local time (12:25 GMT) in Cairo, Egypt.

The draw will be assisted by former stars Souleymane Camara (Senegal) and Adama Coulibaly (Mali), and the event will be shown live on CAF TV.

The tournament, scheduled for April 26 to May 18, 2025, will feature 13 teams competing for the title. The top four teams will qualify for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile (September 27 - October 19).

Tournament Format & Draw Procedure

• The teams will be divided into three groups:
  Group A (5 teams)
  Groups B & C (4 teams each)
• Cote d’Ivoire (hosts) are automatically placed in Group A (A1).
• Senegal (Champions in 2023) will be in C1, while Nigeria (3rd place in 2023) will take B1.
• The top two teams in each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarter-finals.
• The competition will then continue in a knockout format until the final.
