The TotalEnergies CAF U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 Final Draw is scheduled for Thursday, February 13 at 12:45 p.m. in Cairo, Egypt.

time in Morocco (11:45 GMT). The draw will be assisted by former stars Souleymane Camara (Senegal) and Adama Coulibaly (Mali), and the event will be shown live on CAF TV.

The tournament will have an expanded 16-team format and take place from March 30 to April 19, 2025. Ten African countries will earn a spot in the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup, which will take place in Qatar from November 5–27.

Tournament Format & Draw Procedure

  • The teams will be divided into four groups (A, B, C, D) with four teams each.
  • Morocco (hosts) are automatically placed in Group A (A1).
  • The remaining seeded teams (based on the 2023 U17 AFCON final standings):

    Senegal (Champions) – C1
    Burkina Faso (3rd place) – B1
    Mali (4th place) – D1

  • The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals and secure a World Cup spot.
  • The third-placed teams in each group will compete in play-offs for the final two World Cup spots.

Morocco came close to winning the 2023 U17 AFCON, reaching the final after topping their group, knocking out Algeria (QF) and Mali (SF). In the final, they scored first but lost 2-1 to Senegal.

Now, with home advantage, Morocco is aiming to go one step further and lift the trophy on their own soil.
