The TotalEnergies U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 draw was held by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

16 teams will compete for regional championships and 10 qualifying berths for the FIFA U17 World Cup 2025 in Qatar during the tournament, which is scheduled to take place from March 30 to April 19, 2025.

U17 AFCON 2025 Groups:

  • Group A: Morocco (Hosts), Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia
  • Group B: Burkina Faso, Egypt, South Africa, UNIFFAC 1 (Central Africa Qualifier)
  • Group C: Senegal, Gambia, Somalia, Tunisia
  • Group D: Mali, Angola, Côte d'Ivoire, UNIFFAC 2 (Central Africa Runner-up)

Egypt's Road to the Quarterfinals

The Young Pharaohs will compete in Group B against South Africa, Burkina Faso, and an undetermined qualifier from the UNIFFAC region. To maintain their chances of winning the continental championship and qualifying for the U17 World Cup, the top two teams from each group will move on to the quarterfinals.

Egypt will try to outperform their previous results and earn a spot among the top junior teams in Africa.
