African football is once again rocked by a disciplinary scandal. Patrice Motsepe, president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has expressed his extreme outrage at the actions of Senegal's national federation following the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Details: According to TopSkills Sports UK, football officials were infuriated by an incident involving the Senegalese delegation's improper use of the tournament's main trophy. During yesterday's match, Senegalese players and staff paraded the cup in front of the crowd, flaunting their status as champions, despite CAF officially recognizing Morocco as the title holders.

It is reported that the Senegalese delegation's actions discredited the competition, prompting an immediate response from the disciplinary committee. Now, the Senegalese Football Federation faces severe consequences that could set the team back in the continental hierarchy for a long time.

Despite protests from the Senegalese side, the CAF president put an end to the debate over the winner:

"We respect the decision made at the highest level. Morocco is officially recognized as the AFCON 2025 champion!"

It should be noted that in yesterday's match, Senegal calmly defeated Peru 2-0.

Reminder: Senegal has filed a lawsuit with CAS, contesting Morocco's Africa Cup of Nations 2025 title.
