CAF Confederation Cup: OC Safi beats San Pedro again
As in Abidjan last weekend in the third round, Morocco's OC Safi defeated Côte d'Ivoire's FC San Pedro 2-1 in Group A on Sunday, 1 February 2026.
The first half hour of this fourth round group stage match was marked by suspense before Salaheddine Errahouli broke the deadlock for the home side. The Moroccan midfielder scored in the 30th minute, making it 1-0 for OC Safi.
The home side doubled their lead towards the end of regulation time. Senegalese player Moussa Kone scored Safi's second goal in the 89th minute, making it 2-0. San Pedro tried to respond by reducing the deficit in stoppage time. On a decisive pass from Dosso, Allou scored for the Ivorians in the 90+2nd minute, making it 2-1. But it was not enough to secure at least a draw.
FC San Pedro's chances of qualifying from Group A have been significantly reduced after their defeat in the fourth round of the 2025-26 CAF Confederation Cup.
