CAF Champions League: Ivory Coast's Kpan Clement to referee MC Alger vs Al Hilal Omdurman match
It is part of the fifth round of the group stage of the 2025-26 CAF Champions League.
Algeria's MC Alger will host Sudanese club Al Hilal Omdurman in the penultimate round of the African Football Confederation's most prestigious interclub competition.
For this decisive match at the Ali La Pointe Stadium between Group B leaders Al Hilal Omdurman and third-placed MC Alger, CAF has appointed Kpan Clement Franklin from Ivory Coast. A FIFA international referee since 2020, he will have the heavy responsibility of making decisions during this fifth round match.
Kpan Clement Franklin has experience in CAF competitions. He officiated at the last Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Well before that tournament, he was at the African Nations Championship co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda in 2025.
In their first Group B match in November 2025, Al Hilal Omdurman beat MC Alger 2-1.
