Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman have lodged a formal complaint with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) regarding the refereeing performance of South African official Abongile Tom during their first-leg clash against Moroccan side RS Berkane in the CAF Confederation Cup.
In a detailed letter to CAF, Al Hilal citied four questionable yellow cards, a controversial red card for defender Ebuela, and a late penalty awarded to RS Berkane as key incidents affecting the match. Video evidence of these decisions has been submitted to CAF.
Al Hilal now prepares to host RS Berkane in the return leg of the quarterfinals.
