CAF Announces Busy 2025 Calendar with Multiple Continental Events

One of the busiest years for the governing body, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed a full schedule of activities and competitions for 2025, including a range of club and national team championships. There will be nine significant tournaments this year, ranging from senior continental championships to youngster games.
The following significant incidents were confirmed by CAF:
- AFCON for Local Players (CHAN): Held in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from February 1 to 28, with 19 teams participating.
- CAF General Assembly and Elections: Scheduled for March 12, with elections for the CAF president and various executive committee positions.
- U-17 Africa Cup of Nations: Taking place in Morocco from March 30 to April 19.
- U-20 Africa Cup of Nations: Hosted by Ivory Coast from April 26 to May 18, with the top four teams qualifying for the U-20 World Cup.
- CAF Confederation Cup Final: The two-legged final will be held on May 17 and 25.
- CAF Champions League Final: Set for May 24 and June 1.
- AFCON for Schools: Dates still to be confirmed, but the competition will take place this year.
- Women's Africa Cup of Nations: From July 5 to 26, with 12 teams competing.
- Women's CAF Champions League: Scheduled for November 8 to 23.
- Men’s Africa Cup of Nations: Concluding the year, it will run from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, in Morocco.
African football at all levels and genders is expected to be fascinating this year because to CAF's crowded calendar.
