The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the draw for the 2024 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) would be held on January 15, 2025, in Nairobi. The much anticipated event will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from February 1 to 28, 2025.

The CHAN competition, which exclusively features players from domestic African leagues, will showcase several of Africa’s top footballing nations, including Senegal, the defending champions, who claimed their first title in 2022 after defeating hosts Algeria in the final.

The upcoming edition promises to be a significant platform for emerging talents, including Senegal’s Lamine Camara, who won the 2024 CAF Young Player of the Year award. The competition is expected to spotlight promising players from across the continent.

Additionally, media accreditation applications for the tournament will be open from 6 to 9 January 2025, with all applications being processed through the CAF Media Channel.
