Earlier we informed you that six Premier League clubs have to sell their players to fit into the financial fair play rules, and Aston Villa were among those clubs. Now we know the figure that Unai Emery has to say goodbye to his players.

And this figure is not a small one. It was revealed by Football Insider, and it is as much as 60 million pounds. If Aston Villa can not close this amount by the end of the financial year, that is, until 30 June - the club will face a significant withdrawal of points.

Under current rules, clubs cannot exceed losses of £105 million over three years. Villa had proposed increasing the allowable loss limit to £135m for the 2024-25 season, but the EPL clubs voted against the proposal during this week's vote.
