Aston Villa midfielder Emiliano Buendía has attracted interest from German, Italian, and Saudi clubs, but the Villans are determined to keep the Argentine in their squad.

Details: According to The Athletic, the 28-year-old, whose current contract runs until the summer of 2026, has reached an agreement with Aston Villa to extend his deal by another year, until June 2027. It is unclear whether the extension includes improved financial terms.

Reminder: Bayer Leverkusen reportedly sees Buendía as a replacement for Martin Terrier, who is out for the remainder of the season with an Achilles tendon injury. Previously, Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery refrained from publicly guaranteeing that all key players would remain with the club.
