Bayer exploring the possibility of loaning Aston Villa midfielder Buendía

German champions Bayer Leverkusen are considering the possibility of signing Aston Villa midfielder Emiliano Buendía on loan, according to Florian Plettenberg.

Details. Bayer is exploring a loan deal with a purchase option, while Villa insists on an obligation to buy. Another club is also reportedly in the race for the Argentine midfielder.

Buendía could serve as a replacement at Leverkusen for Martin Terrier, who will miss the remainder of the season due to an Achilles tendon injury.

The 28-year-old versatile attacking midfielder is under contract with Aston Villa until 2026.

Note. This season, the Argentine has scored three goals in 19 matches for Villa across all competitions.
