On the first day of the 2024 Olympic Games, the champions in road cycling were determined for both men and women.

In the women's race, Australian Grace Brown emerged as the Olympic champion, completing the 32.4-kilometer course in 39:38.24 minutes. British cyclist Anna Henderson secured the silver medal, while American rider Chloe Dygert claimed the bronze.

In the men's race, Belgian Remco Evenepoel proved to be the strongest, winning gold with a time of 36:12.16 minutes. Italian Filippo Ganna finished second with a time of 36:27.08 minutes, and Belgian Wout van Aert completed the podium in third place with a time of 36:37.79 minutes.

Additionally, the first gold medals of the Paris Olympics went to China, with South Korea taking silver and Kazakhstan rounding out the top three.
